Project Description:

The Chocolate Dipper

/ Vendor & Price Negotiations
/ Van Wrap
/ Merchandising

The folks at The Chocolate Dipper wanted to produce a van wrap and new merchandise. They felt that having a new means of advertising and unity at the storefronts would help build their community. I entered their business as the connection and designer between vendors.
Tools used:
Pen and paper, a digital camera, Photoshop, Illustrator, and a voice.
Credit to:
The family of the @thechoclatedippermerced for providing the logo, color palette, and a chance for me to complete their vision. Also, to the employees of @kirkkennedyinc for the collective effort to complete the custom van wrap. Then for @bimpressedbrandingsolutions for their ability to happily create and deliver the merchandise.

The Beginning

When this project began, The Chocolate Dipper owned its logo and assets. They've two storefronts across California, which is why they wanted to wrap their van. The problems I had to address were finding a shop to work on their wrap, finding a vendor to produce their products, and gathering all the remaining assets I needed for a complete design.

The Middle

I found a local vendor and a local shop willing to produce both within the owners' budget at The Chocolate Dipper. I was then given the green light to collect assets and create designs. One unique task required product photography to attach to the van design.

The End

After discussions between Kirk Kennedy, The Chocolate Dipper, and myself, we narrowed down the details of the van merchandise. We came out with a fantastic product ready to show off to employees, customers, and friends on the road.

Reflection

This project taught me how to handle price and vendor negotiations, a bit of product photography, how to design based on dimensions for a van, and more. During the process, I had to balance the client's budget making sure all parts were delivered. While hectic at times, seeing the designs brought to life was worth it.
